Exptriates in UAE
Expatriates in UAE
Let’s first define what an Expatriate is. An Expatriate is basically an outsider who travels from all the way from their homeland to another city or country as an immigrant in search of jobs. This person is temporarily living in that area for the purpose of earning. The word Expatriate is originated from Latin. Now a question to ponder about is why do these people choose UAE? What is so fascinating and the pulling factor towards UAE? What is so special in this emirate that attracts people from all over the world? The biggest reason for moving to UAE is because it is one of the largest and finest countries which welcome people from across the world. They have many employment opportunities for ethnic minorities and this society is known for their liberalism. The open minded environment of this country is the basic attraction for the expatriates. Mostly the expatriates in UAE that are already the residents are only 1 percent but the ratio of foreigners is more than 90 percent. People are likely to come, work, earn and then go back as becoming a UAE national is not that easy. An Expatriate in UAE is basically not that wealthy person and hasn’t got enough money to live a luxurious life as compared to the UAE nationals. He comes from a very different background as that person is an immigrant and comes in search of employment and only UAE is one of those areas which has a welcoming environment that the outsiders enjoy. This gives them sufficient work and employment opportunities.
Expat Communities in UAE
As UAE net migration rate stands in 21.17 which is ranked as the worlds highest migration rate among other countries. People who get pressures from their background such as large families no earning or if they want to extend their business or do some kind of investment so the best option they see is UAE and Expatriates in UAE never get dis-heart. The response is positive enough to satisfy their needs. Expatriates are basically new to that alien land where they get to face new people, new challenges, new language and new rules but they do it for money, for earning and for their living. They can have other barriers like if one person is a loner and he hasn’t come with his family. He will have to earn all day then when he reaches home has to cook and satisfy his appetite too as there is no such concept of getting a maid to do the house chores. Talking in Majority every work has to be done by themselves. And these challenges get harder at times to manage but as an Expatriate in UAE they have to bear all these factors as it’s said that you have to lose one thing in order to earn something. It is a well known fact that there are 3 such countries from where people hail and become Expatriates in UAE and they are Indians, Pakistanis and Bengalis ranking in highest ratio as seeing generally the highest unemployment and poverty rate is in these three countries so people from these countries are most likely to migrate and work abroad. A few cases supports families to come along and join them as an Expatriates in UAE but in other cases like when that person gets work from factory or say construction company so in that case the family is not allowed to enter UAE. They thus stay back and don’t come along with their fellow household members.
Now let’s put light on a few major countries who have become Expatriates in UAE. There are about three lac people from Afghanistan who reside in UAE, this is because people and companies in UAE could get benefit from this country and call them for partnership in business. This builds that bond between the two countries resulting in their friendship to grow strong and they get benefit from each other. Four thousand Americans are split across this emirate as Expatriates in UAE. A few of them are in Abu Dhabi and a few of them reside in Dubai. People from Argentina are spread all across this country as Expatriates in UAE. Pilots, Bankers, Investors and workers in Industries are people all migrated from Argentina. Australians became Expatriates in UAE many years back and have doubled in number as they got pulled and attracted by Dubai’s lavish outdoor activities and they have also made one school with their name where foreign curriculum is taught. People from Brazil proved like a wonder to their country. Brazilians started working in embassies and more than seven hundred pilots work in Etihad Airline. People of Japan established schools and introduced judo (the world renowned Martial arts) of all times which is taught in schools and clubs to all the students who take interest. Even females get fascinated and learn judo. Nepalese are famous for their truthfulness; they are very reliable and can be the best guards so that is why they are welcomed as Expatriates in UAE.
Where did Fashion come from? It’s the one and only Russians who came and conquered hearts. Cafes and Restaurants were introduced by people of Somalia. Now you see every country came with some specialties and new things which they presented and served to everyone winning Dubai people hearts in becoming successful Expatriates in Dubai. Being an expatriate is a very tough job and this is because many people quit being expatriates and return back to their own countries. This is because they become tired of staying alone and away from their family members. I salute the expatriates who take the whole and sole responsibility of their families and earn a living by staying away from them. Some of the expatriates marry women of UAE and try settling there.
